There are thousands of skin conditions that affect us – some common and some rare. At Queensland Specialist Dermatology, all of our Dermatologists are experts in a full breadth of medical dermatology skin conditions. These include skin rashes in all age groups.
Dermatologists are doctors who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin disorders and skin cancers. On average, it takes a minimum of 11 years of medical training to become a Dermatologist.
Australian Dermatologists spend much of their time managing skin cancers due to our climate. However, there are various other non-cancer skin diseases that exist. A typical Dermatologist also treats acne, eczema, skin infections, psoriasis, occupational dermatitis, hair and nail disorders, as well as rare skin diseases and cosmetic issues of the skin.
