Anti Wrinkles Injections

Multiple factors are involved in the formation of wrinkles. These include chronological ageing, chronic sun damage and smoking.

Continued over-contraction of certain muscles of facial expression contribute to the development of wrinkles, especially the frown lines at the glabella (forehead), and crow’s feet. These underlying muscles can be safely weakened with the use of anti-wrinkle injections, which can help soften of these lines. To see a sustained effect, these injections are repeated every 4 months or so.

Anti Wrinkles Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections form one part of managing skin ageing. Treatments are often combined. Depending on the severity, treatments include:

  • Mild – Sun protection & avoidance with Retinoid creams.
  • Moderate – Anti-wrinkle injections and Volume enhancing injections.
  • Severe – Photodynamic therapy or other medical treatments for actinic keratoses, non-ablative lasers and intense pulse light advanced, ablative laser resurfacing, and sometimes facial plastic surgery
