Dermatologists are doctors who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin disorders and skin cancers. On average, it takes a minimum of 11 years of medical training to become a Dermatologist.

Australian Dermatologists spend much of their time managing skin cancers due to our climate. However, there are various other non-cancer skin diseases that exist. A typical Dermatologist also treats acne, eczema, skin infections, psoriasis, occupational dermatitis, hair and nail disorders, as well as rare skin diseases and cosmetic issues of the skin.
